Kaipara Flats Playgroup provides pre-school activities and social time for children.

Meets at McKinney Hall once a week on Wednesdays.

Kaipara Flats School teaches local children from 5 – 11 years and is well supported by parents and everyone in the community.

Local Secondary education is available at Mahurangi College in Warkworth for 11 – 18 years. A free bus service runs from the Village to College via Old Woodcocks & Woodcocks Rd.

There are a number of other school options in the area, from Snells Beach to Auckland.

There are a variety of sports activities for kids available through the Kaipara Flats Sports Club
